The second IFS Conference Bulgaria brought together business, government and certifiers. IFS Conference 2016. The conference was held for the second year in Bulgaria. The event brought together representatives of the food industry with 10 speakers from the state administration, consultants, certification bodies, equipment suppliers and a representative of IFS Management. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lyuben Stanev, Chairman of the Quality of Life Association and branding expert, presented the views of the Association at the IFS conference in 2016. The event shared experiences, trends and quality know-how on compliance with state food safety requirements, trends in law changes and all about the international IFS quality standards.
The main topic on which the President of the Association reflected was the need to use certificates and distinctive signs in order to increase the sales of certain products through communication. In this way, trust is built in the customer that he is taking a certified and verified product, which leads to the coverage of the standard. This is an essential step that needs to be taken if a business wishes to be successful and sought after. The key lies in the fact that if this vital step is taken, the financial and material stability of the company will be achieved, which is one of the main pillars for achieving prosperity.
